After many years admiring the Sunwillow ponies in Wales, our very own is home.

Meet our new Welsh Mountain Pony stallion prospect: Sunwillow Alfonso (Sunwillow Xspo x Sunwillow Imogen by Heniarth Quip).
We have long loved these lines, which we're thrilled to have had the opportunity to bring home in this beautiful colt. Thanks to Vanessa Dyvig for breeding generations of high calibre Sunwillow Ponies and for trusting us with Alfonso.
Our boy has settling in with our 2019 foals and is showing his wonderful character—a family trait, we understand. We're so enjoying this brave, friendly colt, who is everything and more than we'd hoped for!
We're looking forward to crossing him with our Nerwyn Gwyn daughters.
Alfonso's Dam: Sunwillow Imogen
Heniarth Quip x Sunwillow Dido by Randan Walter

From by two tremendously successful ponies, Heniarth Quip and Sunwillow Dido, Imogen is a lovely mare who has shown well, winning championships, including a WPCS bronze medal, and took an impressive 3rd at the highly competitive Royal Welsh as a yearling.
All this as a youngster, before Imogen began producing lovely offspring, like our Alfonso, the first from Vanessa's young stallion, Sunwillow Xspo.
Alfonso's Sire: Sunwillow Xspo
Sunwillow Paris x Flydon Pelydryn by Sunwillow Pesaro

Born in 2016, Xspo caught our eye as a yearling: a lovely, typey colt from top breeding. We hoped he would soon have a quality colt for us to bring home, and the right one came along in his first crop.
Produced by Colin Tibbey and the team, Xspo has won many titles, including Youngstock Champion at Newark & Notts County, Res. Champion at Ynys Mon, 1st Anglesey County Show and Scottish Horse Show, 2nd at Royal Cornwall show, and more. This past autumn, three-year-old Xspo went Youngstock Champion and Overall Supreme Champion of the Tudor Rose WPCS Winter Show. We think he's rather special.
